Product Description
This is a genuine V-Belt. Manufactured by MTD. The V-belt acts as a transmission belt. Connecting the V-belt pulleys, it transmits the force from the engine to the ancillary components including the alternator, the hydraulic pump for the power steering, the air conditioning compressor, the fan and the water pump. Round belts are a circular cross section belt designed to run in a pulley with a 60 degree V-groove. Round grooves are only suitable for idler pulleys that guide the belt, or when (soft) O-ring type belts are used. The V-groove transmits torque through a wedging action, thus increasing friction. The width of this V-Belt is 1/2 of an inch and the length is 44.60 inches.
