Product Description
This is a genuine Stens OEM Replacement Heavy-Duty Flat Idler. The idler pulley is effectively a roller which allows the tensioner to do it’s job, while making the routing of the belt more effective. Often times, the bearing inside the pulley will fail, causing vibration or too much friction which can literally smoke a brand-new belt in a matter of minutes. We’ve seen some pretty worn-out idler pulleys in our day, and you’ll be pleased to know that they’re easy to spot when they fail. Watch out for spark plastic or metal shards on the worn pulley, but you can tell if it is worn by simply grabbing it and giving it a good turn and wiggle. If it is loose, or doesn’t turn easily, replace it. Otherwise you’ll be replacing serpentine belts left and right.
