With electronic fuel injection and an advanced Command PRO EFI system, it delivers strong, reliable power, improved fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions.
Boasting a displacement of 999 cc, hydraulic-valve lifters (which reduce maintenance by eliminating valve adjustments), full-pressure lubrication, and large efficient air cleaners, the ECH980 is engineered for long life and steady performance under load. It’s capable of delivering its maximum 38 HP at 3600 RPM, with peak torque that helps mow thick grass or tackle incline work without bogging down.
This engine is factory-installed or used in the Bad Boy Renegade series for model years 2019, 2023-2025. It’s built tough, reliable, and among the leaders in the EFI commercial engine class.
