Product Description
This is a genuine Stens OEM Replacement Mulching Blade. Mulching blades generally have a more curved surface with two distinct cutting planes along the blade's edge. Older style mulching mowers actually included two blades arranged perpendicular to each other. When a baffle or mulch kit is installed on the mowing deck to prevent clippings from discharging, mulching blades circulate the clippings beneath the deck where they're cut and re-cut into tiny pieces. The finer clippings will decompose more quickly, releasing nutrients into the soil. Mulching blades may be referred to as 3-in-1 blades or all-purpose blades because they can be used to mulch, discharge or bag clippings.
